    • I actually love black and white photography, but will never attempt it. I worked at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Pebble Beach while in grad school. After studying the masters and being surrounded by their work (actually able to hold the photographs!), I’m humbled. But a color photograph of a black and white beetle? I’ll try!

  2. What a neat looking beetle! It’s so great, what we get to see, by walking when we can rather than driving. I went walking at 6am this morning, and saw beautiful white Egrets at the edge of a pond, so quiet. Wish I had a pic to share

    • Yes, all dressed up and nowhere to go! I wonder what the stripes do for the beetle. We found it hanging out on the green plants, so I don’t think it’s camouflage. Fascinating insect. Beautiful.
